We have employed Hartley Jackson and his firm as our accountants for nearly a year now, after having difficulties with another accountant and being without proper financial support for nearly 2 years. We are very pleased to have found such a competent and professional person.
The service he provides is important because he could advise and work with our accounts even though we are an unusual type of company (a Community Interest Company) as he has a lot of experience working with Third Sector organisations.
Jackson & Jackson prepared our end of year accounts and gave them to us with a financial report and recommendations to encourage us to improve all our office systems, not only the financial ones. His advice helped secure a tax rebate for one of our Directors.
Hartley is thorough, with great attention to detail, and provides an advice service where you contact the office by phone or email and he responds immediately. This service enabled me to deal with a difficult client, ensuring prompt payment as he gave me the correct wording to use.
For an additional fee he also brought us up to date with Corporation tax, negotiating with HMRC on our behalf, and getting a £400 fine overturned for us.
We have now signed up for the book keeping service, as we feel the professional help he gives us is a safe pair of hands, someone we can trust and rely on. This is vital for us after our first negative experience, and we look forward to many more years of ongoing financial service from Jackson & Jackson.
